Some quotes from Bess Brooks Yanaway's letter: "And now I'll tell you about my two brothers. 'Kib' (John Harrison Brooks) married Ina Haywood, the only daughter of Dr. Haywood. They lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma where 'Kib' was quite well known in the Oil business. Ina died in 1929, and five years later "Kib" married Katherine Warnecke [i.e. Warnock] Hinckley whom he had met in Tulsa. When she died in 1949, she was taken to her home state of Connecticut for burial. 'Kib' asked to be buried there too. He never remarried and there were no children by either of his marriages".--posted to Rootsweb.com in 2001.
