Ebenezer Brooks, son of Noah Brooks and Dorothy Potter was born February 14, 1690 at Concord, Massachusetts. [1]
He married Sarah Fletcher at Concord on November 18, 1714. Sarah was born at Concord, on May 19, 1690 [1], daughter of Samuel Fletcher and Elisabeth Wheeler. [2]
Their children were born at Concord, but they later moved to Grafton, Masachusetts in its early settlement. Here Ebenezer erected a small house and blacksmith shop which was subsequently owned by his son Joel and further descendants. [3]
On April 8, 1768, the following heirs submitted their acceptance of the will of Ebenezer Brooks that had been submitted to the court:

sons-in-law Thomas Drury Jr., Benjamin Willard and John Goulding [6]
The estate inventory was taken on May 3, 1768 and was valued at L513:8:10 of which L402 was housing and lands. [6]
On May 15, 1769, son Peter Brooks, as executor of his father's estate, submitted an accounting of the remaining estate as L111:11:6, expenses and debts paid L37: 3:4, and balance remaining L74 8s and a penny farthing. [6]
Widow Sarah died there on February 22, 1775, age 85 and is buried with her husband. [4]

Simon born September 21, 1722 [1]; married Rachel Drury on October 22, 1747 in Shrewsbury [4]; died March 24, 1808 and was buried at Alstead, New Hampshire. [7]
Mary born December 26, 1724; died at Concord on June 28, 1736. [1]
Peter born August 21, 1727 [1]; died at Grafton in January, 1779; married Rebekah Ball on January 8, 1752. [4]
Elisabeth born June 25, 1730 [1]; married Thomas Drury Jr. on November 27, 1746 [4]; died August 17, 1807. [8]
Lucy born September 16, 1733/4 [1]; died at Grafton on November 22, 1771; married John Goulding on February 22, 1753. [4]
