Biography
Barnet Brooks is a part of US Black heritage.
Barnet, and his mother Sharlot Brooks (abt.1773-aft.1803),[1] were transferred out of the name of Zachariah Smith Brooks (1765-1848) and into the name of "Brooks Chn." on August 23, 1803 in Edgefield County, South Carolina.[2]

- Because Barnet was a named child on the transfer I estimated he was around ten years old at the time. The death date is for after the last transfer record date. Everything can be modified as more records are found.
