Research Notes
Note: Benjamin first appears on the 1841 census with his brother William at Gallimore`s Bank, Longton. He is described as a potter.
On the 1851 he is recorded asBenjamin Brewton, thrower, living with his brother William also called Brewton atthe home of Williams mother in law. In 1855 a Benjamin Brewerton married an AnnFlanagan. He is called a Publican. Since in the following censuses his wife isAnn I think this is him though, even though his brother did become a publican Icannot understand how Benjamin was one.
In 1861 in Village St. Dresden,Trentham, he is miss transcribed as Benjamin Braughton, though on the image he is Broughton. He is described as a potter, thrower. He now has 3 children.
Hediesin 1870.
