She was the daughter of the Rev. Sir Thomas Broughton, 6th Bt. and Mary Wicker. She was born at Broughton Hall, Broughton, Staffordshire, England on the 13th of October 1770. She married Colonel Roger Coghlan on 5 December 1807 at Wybunbury, Cheshire, England.[1][1]She died on 22 March 1820 at age 49.
