Harold was born in 1909[1] and is on the 1910 Federal census with his parents and an older brother.[2]
On the 1920 Fed Census he is living as Harold Hylton with his mother and stepfather in California.[3]
By 1930 he is still using the Hylton surname and has enlisted in the Army stationed in Honolulu, Hawaiian Territory.[4]
On the 1940 Federal Census he is living in Oregon as Harold Broussard with a wife Anna K and a daughter.[5]
On the 1950 Federal Census he is still in Oregon with wife Anna and daughter now 12.[6]
There is a picture of his draft registration card from WWII as Harold Broussard,[7] dated 16 Oct 1940, on Ancestry which lists his height as 5 ft 6 1/2 in, brown eyes, brown hair and dark completion. On the back of the card with the description is a note from the registration clerk that he had previous military service under the name of Harold Lee Hylton.[8]
He passed away in 1977. There is a Social Security Application and claims index for Harold Hylton on Ancestry which gives his birthdate, and parents names.[9]
There is also a Social Security Death Index for Harold Broussard giving the same birth and death dates.[10]
