Judith Broussard was born about 1784, daughter of Louis Broussard (1745–abt. 1800) and Marguerite Benoit (abt. 1760–? ).

2nd Husband

Judith (32) married William Frutelle (36) (born about 1780 in Opelousas, Louisiana, New Spain) on August 8, 1817 in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.[2] Their son was Napoleon Frutelle (abt. 1818 – June 29, 1855)

Death

Judith died on November 9, 1857 in Opelousas, St. Landry, Louisiana, United States, aged 72.

Judith's birth date on this profile of 1784 is unsourced, but may have been estimated by adding 1 year to spouse Jean Baptiste Jeansonne's birth in 1783. Now that a death record has been found showing her to be 80 years old in 1857, perhaps a birth estimate of 1777 should be used. Admittedly, an age of 80 years may well be an estimate as well, but for now it's all we have. The following marriage source on Family Search gives Judith's parents as Louis Broussard and Marguerite Ledée. See discussion on the profile of Marguerite Benoit about this name, which was apparently the surname of Marguerite's step-father.

    Third husband was Jean Baptiste Lacase. Seems most likely that this is LaCase-9.

    Their son Dorsin (Lacasse-2) was born the following year. His birth record in SWLR is a little weird. Louis (Pitre-429) and Adele Vige (Vige-6) are listed as paternal grandparents, but also as sponsors. I'm assuming that the grandparents are incorrectly transcribed.
