Biography

Joseph Brossard was born 6 Mar 1713 and was baptized by Abraham Bourg. He was the son of Pierre Broussard and Marguerite Bourg, He was baptized again 4 April 1713 at St Jean Baptiste, Port Royal. His godparents were Pierre Bourg and Marie Granger. [1]

When he was 27, Joseph (then living in Pisiguit) married Usrule Leblanc, also 27, daughter of Pierre Leblanc and Francoise Landry 28 Feb 1740 at Saint Charles des Mines, Grand-Pré, Acadie. [2][3]

Joseph BROUSSARD was born 6 Mar 1713 in Port Royal, Acadia. He was christened there on 14 Apr 1713. Joseph married Ursule LeBlanc Feb. 1740. [4]

Joseph was buried on 19 Jan 1759 in Cherbourg, France[5][6]. The burial record notes that he was from Isle St Jean and was about 50 years old.

He was buried (Tres-Ste-Trinite' Register) at Cherbourg on 19 Jan 1759 at age 50 years (sic).
