Research Notes
Alternate birth: about 1755
In some e-mail correspondence with Thomas Kinney on 29 December 2005, I find that Archibald Brower is a brother of a Jacob Brower, son of a William Bro(u)wer and a Rebecca Sprague of Dutchess County, NY. Because practically all Browers in the Hudson and Mohawk Valleys, Long Island, and northeastern New Jersey are descendants of Adam Brouwer, an early settler of the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam who has a huge number of descendants, I recognize a high likelihood of relatedness to most Browers and Brouwers in my genealogical files.
