Biography

Jonas Brown was born 3 May 1711 in Watertown, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts Bay, son of Joseph Brown and Ruhamah (Wellington) Brown.^[1]

About the same time his family moved to Lexington, Middlesex Co, where Jonas was baptized 20 May 1711.^[2]

Jonas married Hannah Monroe on 28 May 1734, possibly in Lexington.^[3]

Jonas and Hannah soon moved to Sutton, Worchester Co, where several children were born, including:

Josiah (b. 4 May 1739^[4])

William (b. 21 Mar 1742,^[5] d. 8 Apr 1742^[6])
