John was Catawba.
John William Brown was born on April 13, 1903 on the Catawba Indian Reservation, York, South Carolina. His parents were John William Brown and Rachel Wysie George. John died in the Influenza epidemic on October 04, 1918. [1] He is buried at the Catawba Indian Cemetery, York County, S.C. [2]
