Willmia was christened on 23 December 1877, Kanab, Kane, Utah Territory, United States. She was the daughter of LDS Pioneers Joseph Gurnsey Brown and wife Harriet Marie Young Brown.

In 1900 Willmia was living at Pahreah, Johnson Wash Precinct, Kane Utah, United States. Her parents Joseph and Harriett were also in residence. [2]
According to her Find-A-Grave memorial (which includes a photo of her gravesite) Willmia Brown married Joseph Eldridge Robinson (1867-1941) 7 April 1901 at Salt Lake City, (LDS) Endowment House and they had the following children [3] :
Willmia (Brown) Robinson passed away on 27 October 1965 at Prescott, Yavapai county, Arizona.
Husband Joseph Eldgridge Brown was an LDS Church Polygamist. There is a marriage record, license, for Joseph E. Robinson of Kanab, Kane county, age 25 years and a Miss Minnie A. Knell of Pinto, Washington county, Utah Territory, age 25 years dated 21 December 1891 at Washington County, Utah Territory. They were married according to the laws of the LDS Church. [4] Minnie Ann Knell, born 30 Sep 1869, Pinto, Washington, Utah Territory passed away 25 April 1963 at age 93 years. She and Joseph had four children: Joseph Knell Robinson; Minnie Kate Robinson Domack; Inez Robinson Preece; Walter Knell Robinson.
According to his Find-A-Grave Memorial Joseph Eldridge Robinson (born 26 Nov 1867; d. 7 Aug 1941, age 73 yrs) also married Harriet Spencer on 3 October 1901, Salt Lake City, Utah. Harriet was the daughter of Howard Orson Spencer and Persis Anne (Brown) Spencer. [5] Joseph E. Robinson and Harriet Spencer had the following children who retained their mother's LNAB: Eldridge Spencer, b. 1903, Salt Lake City, UT; Orson Spencer, b. 1905, Colonia Juarez, Mexico; Mary Spencer, b. 1906, Colonia Juarez, Mexico; Richard Spencer, b.1911, Bountiful, UT.; Jean Spencer, b. 1916, Bountiful, UT; Ruth Spencer, b. 1917, Bountiful, UT.
The LDS Church at this time did not officially sanction polygamist marriages, it giving up that right in order to achieve statehood in 1896. It appears he and his wives resided for a time at Colonia Juarez in Chijuahua, Mexico where many of his children were born.
