Research Notes

PLEASE READ BEFORE ADDING FAMILY There were two Christopher Brown's living in Wythe, VA at about the same time: 1. Christopher Columbus Brown (1784-1863) (son of Andreas Andrew Brown Sr., and Catherine ? Brown), married Anna Maria "Polly" Cormany, (daughter of Michael Cormany and mother Unknown), on August 7, 1806 in Wytheville, Wythe County, Virginia. Christopher listed from 1784 - 1863 and removed to Ohio.

2.Chirstopher 'Stophel' Brown or Christopher Brown, Jr., son of Christopher Brown, Sr. and Anna Maria Mason Brown, Christopher married Anna Marie Rader, daughter of William Rader and Regina Gerhardt on November 15, 1809 in Wytheville, Wythe County, Virginia. This Christopher Brown was born in 1773/74 in Pennsylvania and removed to Wythe, VA where he stayed until his death in 1850.

The problem with these two Christophers, both married to Anna Maria's is that the children have been attributed to both sets of parents on FindAGrave. Both profiles will be marked "Conflated" until the children can be reasonably sorted out.
