Biography

Private Amos Brown served in the United States Army in World War I
Service started: 16 Aug. 1918
Unit(s): Co. B 56th Pioneer Infantry, 15th Co. 4th Bn. 153 D.B.
Service ended: 31 March 1919
Amos Musselman Brown was born at Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1889. He was the son of Rudolph H. Brown and Sarah Musselman.[1]
Amos was a mixer and hopper changer in a linoleum plant,[2][3] and he was a veteran of WWI. He served overseas at the Verdun front from September 1918 to March 1919. Afterwards, he worked in the recruitment service at the Columbus Barracks in Ohio (1920).[4]
On 9th April 1967, Amos Musselman Brown died at Lancaster, aged seventy-seven years. His body was buried in Conestoga Memorial Park.[1][5]
