In the name of God Amen I Richard Brown of the borough of
Grampound in the County of Cornwall Gentleman being weak in body
but of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding do make
publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and
form following hereby revoking all former and other Wills by me
at any Time heretofore made.
In Primis I give and bequeath unto each of the Children of my
late nephew William Brown Son of my late Brother John Brown the
Sum of One pound and one shilling of lawful Money of Great
Britain to be paid them by my Executor hereinafter named within
twelve months after my Decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Dingle Daughter of my said
late Brother John Brown the Sum of One Pound and one shilling of
like lawful Money to be paid her by my Executor hereinafter named
within one Year after my decease-
Item I give and bequeath unto the four daughters of my late
Nephew Richard Plummer Son of my late Sister Ann the Sum of Two
them by my Executor herein after named within one Year after my
Decease-
Item I give and bequeath unto Catherine Lanyon Daughter of my
late Brother Leonard Brown the sum of Two Guineas of like lawful
Money to be paid her by my Executor hereinafter named within one
Year after my Decease-
Item I give and bequeath unto Leonard Brown Grandson of my late
Brother Leonard Brown the Sum of Two pounds and two Shillings of
like lawful Money to be paid him by my Executor herein after
named within one Year after my decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto Henry Brown Son of my Nephew
Francis Brown all that Messuage and Tenement called Broadhurst
within the Borough of Grampound to be surrendered up to him (as
soon as he shall arrive to twenty one Years of Age or if he marry
before he attain that Age) by my Executor herein after named but
if he die unmarried before he attain the age above mentioned the
said Tenement shall be given to his three Sisters Elizabeth, Ann
and Mary or the Survivors of them when they shall all, or the
survivor or survivors of them arrive to twenty one years of Age.
Item I give and bequeath unto Frances Brown Widow of my late
Nephew John Brown the Sum of four Guineas of like lawful Money to
be paid her by my Executor hereinafter named within one Year
after my Decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto Frances Brown Daughter of my said
late Nephew John Brown the Sum of two Guineas of like lawful
Money to be paid her by my Executor herein after named within one
Year after my Decease.
Lastly All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Estate, Lands and
Effects, both real and personal whatsoever not herein before
disposed of after Payment of my Debts Legacies and Funeral
Expences, I hereby give, devise, and bequeath unto my Nephew
Francis Brown of the Borough of Grampound aforesaid his Heirs,
Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever, and I do hereby
appoint him whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and
Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal
this Thirty first Day of October in the Year of our Lord 1796

by the said Richard Brown as and for his The Sign of
last Will and Testament in the Presence
of us who at his Request in his Presence
and in the Presence of each Other have Richard Brown
subscribed our names as Witness hereunto
