Research NOTE

The only source we have is the son's death certificate, which names mother,

Mary BROWN Penn.

There are no census records with this Mary/John Judson, no marriage record.

I am convinced that this MARY BROWN and the wife, EMMA Amelia BROWN are one/the same.....can not find Mary anywhere.

An email rec'd "I agree with you that Emma Amelia Brown was the mother of John Judson Dye, Jr. The death certificate must be mistaken, happens sometimes. Have not seen the document myself. Have seen wrong names on others in my tree, though. Did find newspaper obit for John giving his mother’s name as Emma brown. Also another memorial for Johns father says his first wife was Emma Amelia Brown and second wife Susan Esther Brunson."
