Bertha Linda (Bertha) was born in about 1894 in Hadley, Shropshire, England. Her parents were Joseph Henry Brown and Sarah Dora Emma (McCrohon) Brown. Bertha's birth was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1894 in the Wellington (Salop) Union district.[1]
