Elisha Brown was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts Bay about 1695. Verification of his date of birth is in progress and needs to be verified. Elisha was the son of John and Rebecca (Ingersoll) Browne.

Elisha and Hannah Gardner were married by Rev. White in Gloucester on November 21, 1717. Elisha and Hannah raised their family in Gloucester including children: Elisha (1) b. May 7, 1718; Hannah and Martha (twins) b. August 7, 1720; John b. June 15, 1726; Elisha (2) b. June 29, 1729; James b. February 17, 1732; and Joanna b. August 1734.

Elisha passed away in Gloucester. His date of death is uncertain and is thought to be either on April 16, 1738 or about the year of 1745.
