She married William Carter Brown, so she kept the surname Brown.
They were married in New York City. A clipping from the Winston-Salem newspaper reads as follows: "Two of Winston's popular young people will be married in New York city, this evening, at 7:30 o'clock. The contracting parties are Mr. Will C. Brown, book-keeper for his brother, Frank C. Brown, and Miss Bettie C. Brown, daughter of the late Dr. W.L. Brown. The bride-elect accompanied Mrs. W.T. Brown and Mrs. W.N. Reynolds to New York last week. Mr. Brown left for New York yesterday morning, but the happy nature of his mission was not generally known at the time of his departure. THE SENTINEL joins the many friends of this young couple in extending best wishes."
She is buried at Salem Cemetery in Winston-Salem NC.
