All Saints' Church of England, Murwillumbah, was the scene of a pretty wedding on January 4th, when John Charles Partridge (late of the A.I.F.), eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Colin Partridge, Palm Vale, Murwillumbah, and Ella Marjorie, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Brown, Cudgera, were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony. The Rev. Mr. Lomas officiated. The church was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride.
The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, who subsequently gave her away. She was charmingly attired in a frock of white crepe de chine and georgette with rose trimmings, and carried a bouquet of white asters and phlox. She also wore the usual wreath and veil, lent by Mrs. W. Knight; cousin of the bride. Alma and Linda (sisters of the bride) were bridesmaids. The first named wore a pretty frock of white georgette and hat to match, and carried a beautiful bouquet of asters and roses. She also wore a pretty ruby and pearl brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. The second brides maid wore a pretty frock of pale pink voile with hat to match. She also carried a bouquet of white asters and roses, and wore an emerald gold brooch, the gift of the bridegroom.
Mr. Ambrose Brown , attended the bride groom as best man and Mr. L. .Partridge as groomsman. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a beautiful ruby and diamond necklet, and the bride's gift to the bride groom a set of gold cuff links inscribed.
Miss May Walker, of Brisbane, presided at the organ. After the ceremony the wedding party motored to the Murwillumbah studio and were photographed. Later a sumptuous wedding breakfast, was partaken of by 50 guests at the Imperial Hall. The Rev. Mr. Foley presided and the usual toasts, were honoured. Mr. and Mrs. Partridge left by train for Lismore, thence via Tenterfield to Sydney and Yallah, where the honeymoon was spent. The bride's travelling dress was navy blue crepe de chine, with henna trimmings and navy blue hat to match.

.. Mr. J. Partridge and Miss Brown both of Palm Vale, who were married recently, and are spending their honeymoon in Sydney, are to return to the Tweed this week, their future home being Fernvale.
