TOWNSEND.—The death occurred in Murwillumbah on Friday, 9th June, of Mrs. Sarah Alma Townsend. Wife of Mr. J. Townsend of Dapto, Queensland. Born at Dapto 50 years ago, she was the Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred. Brown, of Dayboro. In 1930 she married Mr Jack Townsend at Dayboro. Besides her Husband, she is survived by a family of three sons and one daughter. They are: Ron, Ray, Eric, and Joan. She is also survived by four sisters and six brothers. They are: Mrs. W. Mathewson, of Mt. Tamborine; Mrs. L. Gettoes, of Ryde, Sydney; Mrs. Partridge, of Tweed Heads; Mrs. C. McLeod, of Southport: Messrs. O. H. Brown, of Tyalgah Tweed River; H. G. Brown, of Murwillumbah: W. A. Brown, of Ashgrove, Brisbane: A. L Brown, of Cudgera, Tweed River; E. R. Brown, of Minden, via Rosewood, Qld.; and A J. Brown, of Lismore. The Funeral moved from Dayboro Church of England, on Saturday, 10th June, after a service commencing at 2 p.m. to the Church of England portion of the Dayboro General Cemetery.
