Elizabeth's mother's LNAB was Casswell. In some documents, such as the 1851 Census, sighted on Ancestry, it has been written with a long medial 's' (that looks like an f without the bar) and incorrectly transcribed as Capwell. The surname has also been written as Castle, a phonetic/pronunciation error eg the GRO birth registration has Elizabeth's mother's Maiden name as Castle and in the 1851 census, the Browns were visited by Thomas and Sarah Castle probably her maternal grandparents Thomas and Sarah Casswell.
