She was married on 11 July 1861 to Franklin Ellenberger,who died in February 1900. The couple resided alternately in McCalmont & Oliver & Ringgold Townships and Reynoldsville.

They were the parents of 12 children,five sons & seven daughter. Three daughters and a son preceded them to the 'spirit world' The surviving children are: Mrs. Ida J. Pifer of Reynoldsville; Thomas C. Ellenberger of Coolspring; Mrs. Emma C. Dickey of Reynoldsville; Charles E. Ellenberger of Echo; Philip ,Daniel ,Nora and Lucille Ellenberger,of North Freedom.

Funeral services were held in the United Brethren Church at Panic and internment was made there on May 21st.
