Biography

buried at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Moncure, NC. Her gravestone has Lavinia, but her given birth name was Levenia according to the Brown family BIble.

In the 1840 census Lavinia (age 5) was living in Buck Horn District, Wake, North Carolina, USA.[1]

In the 1850 census Lavinia (age 15) was living in Cabarrus, North Carolina, USA.[2]

When Lavinia was 22 she married Russell Merritt Sugg on 5 March 1857 in Wake, North Carolina, United States.[3]

In the 1860 census Lavinia (age 25) was living in Southern Division, Morrisville, Wake, North Carolina, USA.[4]

In the 1870 census Lavinia (age 35) was living in New Hope, Chatham, North Carolina, USA. Residence Post Office: Grove.[5]

In 1880 Lavinia (age about 45) was living in Sandford, Moore, North Carolina, USA. Marital Status: Single. Relation to Head: Daughter.

In the 1900 census Lavinia (age 65) was living in Buckhorn, Wake, North Carolina, USA.[6]

Lavinia died at the age of 76 on 5 December 1910 in Southern Pines, Moore, North Carolina, USA and was buried in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Moncure, Chatham, North Carolina, USA.[7]
