Rachel married William Staveley in 1830. She had two boys. In 1843, she immigrated to Montreal, Canada East with her husband William and the two boys.
Her husband died in 1854 and in 1861, Rachel married David Watson, a tailor and widower.
In 1871, both Rachel and her husband David are listed in separate places on the census. While her husband is living with his son's family, Rachel is listed at the Ladies Benevolent Institute as the matron.
David Watson died in 1875. Rachel died in 1892 and is buried in Montréal.
