Malinda Brown

The following deed shows that Malinda is a younger second wife rather than a daughter.

On February 17, 1854 Hezekiah Brown and his wife Malinda Brown of Washington Co., Arkansas sell to William M. Brown of the same place for and in consideration of $50 to them in hand paid a tract of about 40 acres in Washington Co. (NW 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 29 in T18NR31W). The grantors reserve to themselves an undivided one-half interest during their natural lives, the entire interest to revert to the grantee at their deaths. If the said Hezekiah should die and Malinda should thereafter remarry, her right in the land will cease and all the right will vest in William M. Brown.
