Biography

Jacob was born in 1840 to Philip Brown and Caroline Williams. He married Naomi Vanzant in 1859. [1] While living in Canada he worked as a lumber merchant and had nine children by 1881.

After his wife Naomi died, he took Mary Tanney as his wife and moved to Illinois. While working as a blacksmith, he had two more children, Clara and George.
