Richard Brown arrived in 1634 in Massachusetts aboard the Mary and John.[1] He was born 1613 or before in an unknown location in England.
He is known to have been a brother of George Browne, also of Newbury.
His first residence was Ipswich[2] where he took the Oath of Freeman 6 May 1635, also implying membership in the Ipswich Church. [1] He removed to Newberry by 1638.[1]
Marriages and Children
He married , as his first wife, Edith (Unknown) Browne[1][2] about 1638 (not recorded in Newbury VR) in New England. She died 2 Apr 1647.[3]
