Biography

Eliezer is apparently the way Brown wrote his name. He was of Chelmsford and was made a freeman 11 Mar. 1673/4 [Records of the Governor and Company of the Massachusetts Bay..., v.4, pt. 2, p. 587], and he later served as one as one of Chelmsford's town clerks. In 1675-76 Eleazer Brown served in King Philip's War under Capt. Thomas Wheeler of Concord and was at Groton Garrison. [Bodge, G.M., Soldiers in King Philip's War...(3d ed., 1906), pp. 114, 360.] ...

The date, 26 April 1710, is the date of the marriage contract between Eleazer Brown and his second wife Rebecca, not the actual marriage date which would have been shortly after. His son Benjamin apparently died young as he is not mentioned in the will. Yes, Deacon Thomas Brown's dau. Zerviah (written Zeruiah in the will) married _____ Adams. I have not looked for that marriage. It may be in the Canterbury VRs. Will check sometime.

Eleazer Brown II was born in Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts on July 6, 1649. He was the son of Thomas Browne and Bridget Bateman Browne.[1][2]

Eleazer was married February 9, 1674/5[3] in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, to Dinah Spaulding, daughter of Edward Spaulding and Rachel (Unknown) Spaulding.[4][5][6][7]

Eleazer died January 22, 1720 in Canterbury, Windham County, Connecticut.[1][8]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Eliezer by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Eliezer:

Brown-3432 and Brown-47061 are not ready to be merged because: I do not see any clear evidence that Eliezer Brown's mother Bridget is surname Bateman. I believe Bridget's date of death is 05 Mar 1680/81. Concord MA Births, Marriages, Deaths pg. 24. The Wilson Family Descendants of John Wilson, Mariner Together With an Account of The Brown Family pg. 61. Author of book Gerald Parsons FASG is a very reliable researcher.
