John (aka Harvey) was born in 1874 in Oregon to Jonathan Rollins Brown and Columbia Amanda Butler.[1]
In 1900, Harvey and his wife, Loiusa, were living with Louisa's sister, mother, and brother in Lincoln County, Oregon.[2] Louisa was listed as 14 and Harvey was 25 in the census, but Louisa was actually about 23. They married in 1899.
Harvey registered for the draft in 1918 in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon.[1] His DOB was listed as 22 Mar 1874. He was a mechanical engineer employed by O. A. College. His physical description was medium height, slender build, blue eyes and black hair. His nearest relative was Mrs. C. A. Jennings of Los Angles, California.
Harvey married three times: first to Louisa Ellen Robnett whom he apparently divorced, then Mary Alice Miller Allen in 1921[3], lastly to Hazel Daisy Lebo.
In 1910, Harvey and Louisa were living in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon.[4] Their three children (Jane, James, and Margret) and Harvey's mother-in-law, Margrte M Robnett, were living with them.
In 1930, he and Mary were living in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon.[5] They had seven grandchildren living with them: Dalton, Dee, Jennie, and Bessie Hershey, and Frank, Mabel, and Shirley Foster.
By 1940, he was married to Hazel. They were living in Molalla, Clackamas County, Oregon. There were three stepsons in the home - Jesse, Lenn, and Neil Robnett.[6]
Harvey passed away in 1959.[7] Burial was in the Adams Cemetery in Molalla, Clackamas County, Oregon.[8]
