Biography

Fanny Elizabeth Brown was born on 24 December 1892 in Taree, New South Wales, her father, Edward, was 35, and her mother, Sarah, was 37. She married George Albert Gore on 30 June 1920 in Wingham, New South Wales. They had three daughters during their marriage. She died on 9 January 1954 in her hometown at the age of 61, and was buried in Cundletown, New South Wales, Australia.


Fanny Elizabeth Brown was born on 24 December 1892 [1]the daughter of Edward Brown and Sarah Parsons and sister of Annie Jane (Brown) Allan, Arthur Manning Brown, Mary Emma (Brown) Wilson, Ada Mabel (Brown) Amos, Ethel May (Brown) Walker, James Vernon Brown and Gladys Gertrude (Brown) Murray.

She married George Albert Gore on 30 Jun 1920 in Taree, New South Wales, Australia[2].

Fanny died on 9 January 1954 in Taree, New South Wales, Australia[3] and was buried at the Dawson River Cemetery, Dawson Cemetery Road, Cundletown (via Taree), New South Wales, Australia[4][5]

    She is survived by her husband, Mr. George Albert Gore, of 29 Commerce Street, Taree, and three daughters — Joyce (Mrs. A. Duncan, of Nowra), Olive (Mrs. Ron Sim of Kiama), and Marjorie (Mrs. C. H. Osmond-Dreyer, Taree).
    Surviving sisters and brothers are: Annie (Mrs. A. J. Allan, Wingham), Ada, (Mrs. A. Amos, Taree), May (Mrs. S. J. Walker, Dingo Creek), and Vernon J. Brown (The Bight). Gladys (Mrs. C. Murray of Gangat) Mary (Mrs. Wilson), and Arthur predeceased their sister.
    Rev. R. D. McCulloch and Rev. W. Latham officiated at the funeral service on Monday. Mrs. Gore was a keen supporter of St. John's Church of England, Taree.
