Biography

When Nancy Ann Brown was born on January 19, 1764, in Surry, Virginia, her father, Lewis, was 29, and her mother, Martha, was 22. She was married three times and had five sons and five daughters. She died on June 6, 1850, in Carter, Tennessee, having lived a long life of 86 years.

Some say she was the daughter of GEORGE BROWN and EVE SEVERLY.

Note: Julius Dugger (father of the groom) was the justice-of-the-peace that married William and Nancy. He was not the husband of Nancy.

The discrepancies in birth date may account for the father too young.
