She married George Gibbs, son of John Edward Gibbs and his first wife, Ann Robinson, on 13 January 1869, in Spring Grove, Nelson, New Zealand. They had nine children: Edith Annie, Minnie Adeline, Bertha Anna, Martha Louisa, Florence, Christina Maud, Wilfred George, Ada Beatrice, and Ashley Campbell.
She passed away in 1917. She is buried in Mararewa Cemetery, Tapawera, Tasman, New Zealand, with George.
