Biography

Mary was reportedly born on 25 August 1710, the daughter of Nicholas Brown and his third wife Mary Chambers.[1] The exact birthdate comes from Hornor, who did not provide his source and is known to have printed some errors. But Mary's father did make his will on 21 February 1711, naming his wife Mary as sole executrix and his daughter Mary as his sole heir after his wife's death, unless another child was born.[2]

Mary married Daniel Seabrook. On 30 August 1740, Daniel Seabrook of Middletown, yeoman, and Mary his wife "sole heir unto her father Nicholas Brown late of the town of Shewsbury" sold land at Shrewsbury to John Chambers of Shrewsbury, yeoman, said land being part of a tract patented to Nicholas Brown in 1688.[3] Daniel and Mary then appeared and acknowledged the deed on 31 July 1747.
