William was born in 1870. William Brown married Gertrude A. Murray in Brandon, Manitoba in 1895.[1] They had two children there together. William took on the responsibility of the widowed and single females in Gertie's family so when he moved to Saskatchewan in 1905 to become a grain buyer, he brought them with his wife and children. He worked at Radisson and then he and Gertrude and children moved to Portland, Oregon, some time in the early 1920s. William passed away in 1926.[2]
