Orville was born in 1850. Although Family Search indicates a 1851 birth date, there is a record of him as a newborn on the 1850 census and his tombstone records 1850 as his birth year.
Orville Ransom Brown
Birth 6 Mar 1851 --Holt County, Missouri, USA
Death 21 Dec 1932 (aged 81) --Sedalia, Douglas County, Colorado, USA
The ages do not add up? Alvin R in 1880 is 4 so in 5 years he s/b 9 AND Maggie age:9 s/b on the 1880 census or she was born just after it was enumerated.......
The son Johnathan L. born 1892 is on the 1900/1910 censuses and then he disappears.........................
"Maggie G is 9 years old in 1885", gives her a dob of 1876. If she lived and did not get married before 1900 she would be listed on the 1900 census, she would be 24 years old. There is a Maggie Brown who married in 1903 in Glenwood Springs (newspaper says, Maggie Brown of Glenwood )
The newspaper item attached, signed "T.E. McCarthy, Teacher" lists numerous Students who were on the SILVER ROLL of HONOR
The Boyer's, Maurice JARRE, Alvin Brown, "those not absent: Lottie Smith, Maggie Brown."
Robert R Brown Son M 6, this would make him born 1879, so why isn't he on the 1880 census? So IF he died before the 1900 census, that tells me that they named a 2nd son Robert Francis.... Robert Francis Brown This Robert F was born 1881. Maybe they are one/same?
"Wm. R. Brown son age:2 Co." this would make him born 1883. But then, WHERE is the REUBEN NELSON?? He was born 1882
