Biography

Abigail Brown was born 19 Dec 1807 in Virginia.

She was the daughter of John Box Brown and Phoebe (Claypool) Brown. Sister of Isaac Brown [half], Joseph Claypool Brown and John Rycliff Brown

Wife of Charles Matney. Had five children.

8 August 1850: Living in Kaw Township, Jackson County, Missouri [1]

28 June 1860: Living in Division Thirty Five, Jackson County, Missouri [2]

Abigail (Brown) Matney died 28 Nov 1865 in Wyandotte Township, Wyandotte, Kansas.

Memorial in Maple Hill Cemetery (Matney Cemetery) in Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas (small headstone at right)[3]
