The date of birth on the immigration documents would indicate that the Mary Brown who was 19 on arrival in 1848 giving a birth year of 1829. In the 1941 census there is a Mary Brown aged 12 in Devon also with a birth year of 1829.
The Death Index for Mary has her mothers name Ann and Fathers name John that match the names in the 1841 census family in Devon.
The address on her immigration document is Phinstock Devonshire. Cant locate Phinstock but it is in Devonshire where the family in the 1841 census reside. However John is not listed on the census. May have been out of town.
