Biography

Robert Brown was born on the 12th September 1800 in Harpham, Yorkshire England. ^[1]

Robert Brown and Elizabeth Robson were married on the 27th July 1819.

Robert and Elizabeth emigrated to New Zealand with John and Bessie Brown and their six children and other family members - Thornton, Robson and Major; on the Northern Bride in 1860. ^[2]

He died on the 10th September 1865 at Te Arai.

Buried in the old Te Arai cemetery with the inscription: Robert Brown, died 1864, aged 65.
