DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
Hi Rebecca--I have a number of sources that indicate this is correct, especially that Mary Edmiston is the correct maiden name. Death records of the children are the best indication of it. I have linked some in the children and to Sarah Amanda Brown.
Brown-62670 and Brown-38593 are not ready to be merged because: I would like a bit more time to figure out the discrepancies in the birth date and the last name of the second wife. Especially since it's such a common name.
