Biography
John Brown was born June 25, 1700, in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, a son of William (Williams) Brown, born 1672, in Isle of Wight and Jane Meriwether. John Brown married Mary Wheatley Foster. [1] John died November 10, 1750, in Bertie county, North Carolina. [2] Children of John and Mary include:
- Sarah Brown(e) , born 1739, in North Carolina, died in 1830
- John Browne, born before 1740, in Bertie county, North Carolina, died before 1783, in Warren county, North Carolina, DAR Ancestor #: A205553
Researchers Notes
A Find A Grave memorial for John Brown indicates that his father was William Brown 1668-1718. Further research is necessary to substantiate the claim.
