Frances (Brown) Randolph lived in Appalachia, in Alabama.
Frances (Brown) Randolph was born about 1800 in Chester, Chester, South Carolina or East Tennessee, the alleged daughter of William Brown (~1772 - <1830) and Mary (Ogle) Brown (~1780 - >1840).
Frances died about Jun 1849 in Walker, Alabama aged ~49.[1]
Frances was most likely born in Tennessee based on the birthplaces of her known siblings. She died before the 1850 census, so her exact birth year is not known.
She was the first wife of john Randolph and the only name recorded for her is FRANCES. I have seen her listed with various first and middle names in genealogies, but without documentation.
She is recorded as Frances on her marriage record, and Sulphur Springs Primitive Baptist Church Records, which are recorded in History of Walker County: Its Towns and Its People by John Martin Dombhart.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Frances by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Frances:
Someone has added the parents of Frances Brown Randolph as Thomas Brown and Mary Dutton. Unfortunately, they have not added any documentation to support this.
My ThruLines at Ancestry suggests her parents are a William Brown and a Mary Love without supporting documentation.
I do believe her mother is MARY, but her maiden name is not known. Mary Brown, age 60-70, does live next door to the John Randolph family in 1840 Walker County, Alabama. Other family members also live next door.
Another theory that I am currently researching is could Mary be part of the OGLE family from Delaware to Virginia to North Carolina to East Tennessee? My mother, Mary Frances James (James-524) has a lot of DNA matches at Ancestry to this OGLE family and the shared matches for the most part appear to be descendants of John and Frances Brown Randolph as well as Brown cousins associated with known siblings of Frances Brown Randolph.
Brown-3542 and Brown-64236 appear to represent the same person because: I propose to Match Frances Brown (Brown-3542) and Brown-64236. These are apparently the same person. I am the profile manager for Brown-3542.
Hi Margaret, There is no pending merge. I am working Find a Grave errors and it led me to two profiles referencing the same memorial, so i am requesting the merge. Here is the address: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Brown-64236
I am going to change the parents of these individuals to reflect this research.
