Robert was born in 1895. He passed away in 1949. Robert McCoy Brown: 1895-1949 Robert McCoy "Mack" Brown was born August 27, 1895 to Victoria (Mc Falls) and James Robert "Jim" Brown near Pikeville, Bledsoe Tennessee on a farm up in the howler of Beaty Cove, close to Thomas Henderson place. He later moved to Oklahoma where he met and married Orvella Ellen Brown of Leonna, Oklahoma. They made their home in Oklahoma until their two oldest sons were born then they moved by covered wagon to the state of Florida. Next, they moved by covered wagon to their home here in the state of Tennessee, where he lived until his death. I, Brenda Lee (Brown) Burgess, was only one year old when he died, I remember his big hands and a stuffed dog he gave me as we sat on the bed. Today, I have the same bed that he slept and died on. I have been told he was a honest and hardworking man. He was a farmer, a Justice of the Peace, served on the Bledsoe County Board of Education, and a upstanding citizen. Grandma Brown, his wife told me he was a fine Christian man, he belonged to the Church of God some 29 years. He served in World War I. He gave part of his vast farm to the oldest son, Harvey, the understanding that he stays and takes care of his mother. He departed this life on December 13, 1949 and is buried in Worthington Cemetery in Bledsoe County, Tennessee.
