Cuffman, Julia A. - December 24, 1944
Mrs. Julia Anne Cuffman, one of Sumner County's oldest citizens, died Sunday Morning at her home in Union Hill after an illness of several months. She was 89 years old and had spent most of her life in Union Hill. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at the union Hill Home by Rev. C.H. Robinson and the Rev. Charles Parker. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Cuffman was born in Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of Isaac Brown who came to this country from Liverpool, England, And Catherine Dilling Brown a native of Dublin, Ireland. At the time of her death, she had been married for 74 years, having married D.W. Cuffman, who survives her, in 1870 Sumner County, She was a member of the old Alex Ewing Methodist Church. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Holt, Goodlettsville, and Mrs. W.D. O'Connell. Nashville; Four sons, L.T. Cuffman, Dearborn Michigan, I.B. Cuffman, Goodlettsville, Homer Cuffman, Goodlettsville, and G.W. Cuffman, Nashville; and 20 Grand Children, and 17 Great-Grandchildren, and one Great - Great - Grandchild.
