Biography

Charles Brown, born probably 21 Jun 1797 in Belchertown, Massachusetts, was a son of Eunice Brown (1767-1826) and Nathan Brown Jr. (1765-1847) [1]. From this record the location of his birth assists us to trace the westward migration of his birth family, their place of origin being in Stonington, Connecticut.

Charles Brown married about 1825 in Chenango County, New York, Perlina Brown (1801 - 1859; daughter of Keturah Brown (1774-1835) and Jabish Brown (1778 - 1847). The following children may have resulted from this union:

  • Charles Denison Brown (1821–1881); married Mary Carolyn Browning
  • Francis Brown (1825–)
  • Loren Brown (1825–)
  • William R. Brown (1827–1914); married Elizabeth Wrench
  • Roxana Brown (abt. 1832 -)
