Biography

At St. John's Church, Batlow on April 8. the marriage took place between lsabel Fairlie, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Brown, of Batlow, formerly old residents of Hurstville, and Mr. Stanley Loesby. second son of Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Forster of Wagga.The ceremony was performed by the bride's uncle, Rev. H.S.Brown) of Boorowa, who is also a native of Hurstville. During the- ceremony Miss Verna Neiil of Bexley, a cousin of the bride, sang "Ave Maria",and "O Promise Me." Mr. E. Pursell presided , at the organ, also playing "The Wedding March." The bride was attired in white braided net. Her coronet was of three hearts, bound with silver ribbon, and with orange blossom. She carried a heart-shaped bouquet of Cecil Bruner roses, white rosebuds, and pink-stock, mounted on tulle with trails of ribbon and tulle. The bride had two attendants— her sister (Miss Grace Brown) in flame crinkle georgette over taffeta, and the bridegroom's sister.(Miss Avice Forster), who was attired in chartreuse crinkle georgette over taffeta. Both wore short tulle veils to match their frocks, caught to their heads with unusual coronets of lovers' knots, mounted with tulle. They also carried bouquets in the shape of lovers' knots of chrysanthemums, Cecil Bruner roses, pansies; and autumn leaves, with trails of tulle. L.A.C. J. Forster supported his brother as best man and the groomsman was Mr. J. Brown, brother of the bride. The bride's mother wore navy blue satin back crepe frock with navy accessories and a shoulder spray of pink rosebuds. Mrs. Forster wore navy French crepe frock, and navy accessories with shoulder spray, of red carnations.
