Biography

J Brown died young.

J Roland Brown was born 6 May 1881 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. He was the son of Cyrus Neal Brown and Harriet Alice Rodden, and the grandson of Confederate veteran James Lewis Rodden.

At the tender age of 11, J. Roland died on 21 July 1892 in Mecklenburg County and was buried at the Amity Presbyterian Church Cemetery. He shares a gravestone with his unnamed infant brother who died in 1894 at the age of one and a half.[1]
