Biography

Agnes was born about 1813 (Not able to find a copy of her exact birth.) She was the oldest of five children to parents Alexander Brown and his wife Helen. She married James Martin in 1938 and during the 1841 and 1851 Census's they stayed in and around the Bunkle and Preston area of Berwickshire, Scotland. They had 9 Children of which 4 died during their early years and Agnes herself died three weeks after the birth of James their last child. Her Death Certificate attributes the death to Fever, Pirexia and Blood Poisoning due to complications of the birth. She passed away in 1855.
