NOTE by Chet Snow, Feb 16, 2014: Many competing dates exist in family genealogies for the birth, marriage & death of Margery (Brown) Piggott. Those that are most commonly-used have been used for this profile AND that take account of the old Quaker calendar where the "1st month" was March to the "12th Month" that was February of the next year. This calendar was used by British and American Quakers until Jan. 1, 1753 for Meeting House documents like births, marriages and deaths.[1]
Birth Data: February 1691in Marcus Hook, Delaware County, Pennsylvania Colony. Map: Latitude: N39.8193. Longitude: W75.4185. [2][7][8][9]
Death Data: 24 February 1738 in Susquehanna Hundred, Cecil County, English Province of Maryland. [2]
Alternate Death Data: 14 Dec 1737 in Susquehanna Hundred, Cecil, Maryland. NOTE: This does not take into account that Quakers used the "old" dating system where February, not December, was the 12th month.[10]
A Quaker, Margery Brown had 11 children with John Piggott. Susannah was #7: b. 1 Mar 1723, Nottingham MM, Chester, Pennsylvania; d. 11 Sep 1781, Cane Creek MM, Orange, North Carolina, USA. [15]
Birth: Abt 1692 in Marcus Hook, Delaware, Pennsylvania
Death: 24 Feb 1738 in Concord, Chester, Pennsylvania
Marriage to John Piggott b: Abt 1680
Married: 18 Mar 1713 in Nottingham Fields [Quaker Meeting], Cecil Co., Maryland[17]
RESEARCH NOTE:
"Mobberly Parish, Cheshire, England" is mentioned in some genealogies; this may be the birthplace of Margery's husband, John PIGGOTT or of his father. There was a large PIGGOTT family living in Cheshire, England, in the 16-17th Centuries (NOTE by Chet Snow, May 18, 2016)

NOTE: Should be 18 Mar 1713 as Quakers used "old" dating system where March, not January, was the 1st month. Chet Snow

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Margery by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Margery:
Browne-1856 and Brown-2484 appear to represent the same person because: the vitals - birth and death are, more or less, identical - birth place to be updated though before merge. Note that this merge is set to merge Browne-1856 into Brown-2484 to reflect the correct last name at birth.
Brown-2484 and Brown-86994 appear to represent the same person because: Hi -- I've removed the merge rejection to re-propose.
Both Margery Browns born in same year in same location; both married to man named John Piggott.
Difference in year of death due to 1737/1738 -- new year in March rather than January during this time period.
Brown-86994 has just one source: a FAG memorial. This has no stone photographed, but instead a useful page from Meeting (?) records. [1] that shows "24 Feb 1737/38." Brown-2484's bio gives both the 14th and the 24th as alternate days of death.
The document @FAG also lists some of children and husband (it's just the one page; somewhere there's more) especially Elizabeth Crompton child of John Piggott and Margery his wife, who is a child listed at the Brown-2484 profile.
The profiles show a slight difference in death location: Susquehanna Hundred vs. Calvert, both in Cecil County, Maryland. Might one be residence vs. Meeting location or Cemetery? Or might the FAG location be incorrect as to town?
