It is uncertain exactly when and where Eliza Brown was born. Her tombstone says she was in her 38th year when she died, so that would place her birth around 1797 or 1798. (There was an Eliza Brown born in Cumberland, RI on 25 June 1800 but it is not clear if it was the same Eliza who married Seneca Burr.) Marriage intentions with Seneca Burr Sr were recorded in Bellingham, Mass. on 1 Jun 1828. Eliza and Seneca had two children: Seneca Burr Jr and Charlotte Elizabeth (or Eliza) Burr. Eliza Burr died on 15 May 1835, the same year that her daughter Charlotte died. Eliza, Charlotte, and Seneca Sr. are buried in Center Cemetery, Bellingham. Seneca Jr is buried in Union Cemetery, Bellingham, with his immediate family.

Death date taken from her grave stone inscription. She was in her 38th year at time of death. See Find-A-Grave Memorial # 45691345. Marriage intentions were recorded in the Town of Bellingham on 1 June 1828.
